Paint by Numbers: The Recovery Journey
For RUOK? Day in Syndey, I was commissioned to design and live paint 3 large canvas and I called: THE RECOVERY JOURNEY; In this piece, I aimed to illustrate the healing process through a landscape. On the left side, you'll notice a few rugged mountains, a mighty river, and uneven valleys, representing the initial arid and cold phase. Gradually, the scene transitions to a blossoming valley of flowers, symbolising the rejuvenation of the soul. On the right side, the journey culminates at a serene beach with a calm sea, embodying peace and tranquility. This artwork reflects the different stages or "seasons" of recovery, emphasising that despite the challenges, the journey towards healing and mental health is always worth it.
